David’s Baptism
On Mother’s Day, May 8, 2011, our son David Ray Shrock — along with a number of other youth — repented of his sins, believed the Gospel, and was born again according to the Holy Scriptures.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…Romans 10:9–10 (KJV)
A week later, on Sunday, May 15, 2011, they gathered at the baptismal waters. Pastor Gunther asked David the confession of the eunuch — “Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?” — and, “Do you renounce the world, the devil with all his subtle ways, as well as your own flesh and blood, and desire to serve Jesus Christ alone, who died on the cross for you?” To each, David answered: Yes.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.Romans 6:4 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.John 6:47 (KJV)
